Poultry Slat Flooring

Tama Plastic Slats - Poultry flooring
Tama has been developing and manufacturing plastic
slats for poultry houses since 1987.
Tama plastic slats are used in hundreds of breeder
houses in the USA and around the world.
Tama plastic slats are suited for use in breeder
houses for broiler breeders, light breeders and free
range layers. They are also suited to breeding turkeys
and waterfowl such as ducks and geese
.
Tama plastic slats can be placed on:
Wooden frames - the most economical
option because frame width is 4 ft. (122 CM) and any
length. In this option slats are attached to the wooden
frame with screws.
Fiberglass frames - a more expensive
option, but highly attractive for its lightweight
and superior sanitation. Slats are attached to the
fiberglass frames with screws.
Metal runners - placed straight or
on the diagonal, with no need for screws. Especially
suitable for automatic egg collection system in the
center of the house with slats along both sides.
Tama plastic slats are especially designed to match
the bird's foot. The square hole measurements are
27 X 27 mm. The bird steps on a 10-11 mm footboard
that guarantees manure filtering and cleanliness as
well as a safe foothold for the bird. Repeated tests
have proven that Tama plastic slats improve the flock's
livability, fertility, and hatchability.
Tama Plastic Slats are highly suited to meeting the
demands of Bio Security, as they are easy to clean
and disinfect when replacing flocks.
Tama Plastic Slats are packaged very economically
on pallets and are easy to install. The cost of the
slats is very attractive. The life-span of this product
is decades, due to the highly resistant polypropylene
from which they are made. In existing hen-houses,
the old frames or runners which are in good condition
can be re used to mount new Tama slats.
